Senior Pastor
Pastor Lentz was born in Michigan, but I’ll always consider myself a Hoosier. That’s
because my family moved there when I was just two, and my mom and dad
are still in Indiana.
I went to Trinity Lutheran Elementary School, Concord Jr. High and High School (all in Elkhart, IN), two years at Indiana University, and earned my Bachelor’s at Concordia College, Ann Arbor, MI. Then it was off to study to be a pastor at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. While serving my vicarage / internship in Dallas, TX, I met the love of my life, Kathy Phillips. We became man and wife on June 16, 1990 (it’s been fantastic ever since). We are blessed with two wonderful children: Rebekah and Jacob. We are our own “core four” – we just love it when all four of us are able to spend time together. Things I enjoy during my free time include watching movies, golf, and mowing the yard (yes, I really enjoy it). I’m also a diehard Detroit Tigers and University of Michigan football fan. One more thing I greatly enjoy – the ministry. It is such a privilege and honor to serve the God who loves us so much. To believe and know what our God does for us, how Jesus gave HIS life for us
– what a gift!
Minister of Music
Ian is our Minister of Music. Ian is the son of a Pastor and grew up in the church. Born in Munster, IN and growing up mostly in Iowa. Ian pursued his love for Ministry by attending Concordia University in Nebraska. After a short stint in Baltimore Teaching Theology and Coordinating chapel he moved to Houston Texas in order to learn about church planting in the Houston area.
While living in Kingwood/Porter area just north of Houston Ian met his wife Kyndall on a Christian dating app. He learned a little about the Aggies as she is an A&M Grad and has lived in College Station since 7th Grade. On May 20th, 2021 Ian and Kyndall were married. Kyndall is quite the woman and someone anyone would have a joy getting to know.
Ian and Kyndall are both fans of hiking, camping and disc golfing. On days off you will most likely see Ian throwing a disc at one of the many great disc golf courses we have in the area.

Communications
& Office Manager
Nikki is our Office Manager and also the Director of Communications. She is a lifelong member of Trinity. Nikki’s grandparents and Dad were also lifelong members. Her Grandfather and Father were both Elders and loved this church unconditionally! She enjoys spending time with her husband, Billy and her two teenage sons. She is active with Midway ISD PTA, Football Booster Club and Scouting. She says coming to church at Trinity is like coming home!
